Matt Cavallaro is multi-disciplinary designer living and working in Providence, RI. His professional practice is primarily centered around managing two of his own companies, Nest Homeware and Ares Iron, though he is open to consulting and take on freelance work from time to time as well.
Matt is also an enthusiastic teacher, and has been a professor at Rhode Island School of Design since 2014. He has taught a variety of classes within the Experimental+Foundation Studies Department and Industrial Design Department, ranging from Spatial Dynamics, Design Principles, Cast Iron, Investment Casting, and Machining on manual mills and lathes.
His interests are broad and varied, and his personal work often reflect those interests, such as space exploration, archaeology, ancient materials and manufacturing techniques, mythology, and primitive survival skills.
